PLANS FOR 2011

1. Co-organise UCEC 2011 with the Thammasat University in Chiangmai, Thailand.
2. Monitor community engagement projects.
3. Incorporate community engagement module in the staff induction training.
4. Strengthen the implementation of flagship and university community engagement projects. In 2011, the following have been identified as Flagship projects:
   

   ♦	Pertanian Cendawan Tanpa Sisa Buangan – Projek Model di Kg. Belau (Daerah Merbok), Kedah
   ♦	Sustainable Optimal Services for OKU (SOS OKU): To improve knowledge and skills of teachers dealing with OKU in order to improve quality of life of OKU & Reducing the burden on family with OKU in Kelantan.
   ♦	INFORMM di SAHABAT: Aktiviti Memperkasakan Komuniti Pengguna Dadah dan Orang yang hidup dengan HIV/AIDS
   ♦	Going Bananas II (KIV)

5. 3 series of community engagement workshops/forums
6. Assist in the establishment of the APUCEN.
7. Identify 1 expert/visiting professor in community engagement.

PLANS FOR 2012

1. Co-organise and conduct UCEC 2011 (2012), identify next host for UCEC 2013.
2. Assist in the APUCEN Council Meeting, activities and projects of APUCEN.
3. Monitor ongoing community engagement and community projects.
4. Vet new community engagement projects.
5. Conduct community engagement workshops/forums.
6. Produce UCE publication.
