  1. Minimum attachment duration is one (1) month and maximum two (2) months.

  2. ASA programme is implemented in the country.

  3. All application for ASA programme should be certified by the Dean and approved by the Vice Chancellor or Deputy-Vice Chancellor (Industry & Community Network).

  4. All academic staffs are eligible to apply for the ASA programme once in a year as a replacement for research leave.

  5. ASA programme can be done anytime throughout the year but staff on sabbatical leave in that year is not eligible to apply.

  6. Subsistence payment for staff that joined the ASA programme is the same as the sabbatical programme, and the payment can only be claim upon approval of the Head of School/Centre. 

  7. Academic staffs do not have to sign an agreement letter to join the ASA programme. However, a report of benefits gained after the programme must be sent to the Head of School/Centre and a copy to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (ICN), two (2) weeks after attachment dateline.

  8. All administration of the ASA programme is based on the approval of the PTJ Head for the School/Centre’s yearly budget.
