Roundtable Session between LGU and Industry Members

DICN has joined hand with Sains@USM and organized a round table session between the LGU members of the university and the representatives from the industry. This session was held on 22 October 2016 at Dewan Persidangan Universiti, USM. The focal discussion of this session revolves around “University-Industry Collaboration in Producing Industry Relevance Graduates” which could very well act as an ideal platform the university and the industry to share their input and opinion on the talent need of the industry in order to prepare an employable and industry-ready graduates.

The round table session was chaired by YM Tengku Tan Sri Dr. Mahaleel Tengku Ariff and attended by many prominent figures in USM, including the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail. On the other hand, the participating industries on that day were B. Braun, Motorola, Toray Industries and many more among them.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Asma Ismail reiterated in her opening speech that university are supposed to be the solution provider to the industry and thus, this initiative is taken to venture into the possibility to work better along with industry.
