Prof. Dr. Azlan Amran is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Industry & Community Network) at USM. He holds a PhD and MBA in Accounting from Universiti Malaya and began his academic career at USM in 2006.
Under his leadership, USM has strengthened its institutional sustainability efforts through the implementation of the Higher Education Institution Sustainability Policy, championing the Whole Institution Approach (WIA) across academia, operations, and community engagement. He has also spearheaded industry collaborations, policy advocacy, and outreach programs that promote SDG integration, sustainable finance, and responsible innovation.
Prof. Azlan serves on national and international committees including Malaysia Integrity Institute, SIRIM, AAM, ABEST21, and was a board member of AACSB International, USA.
